Overview
PARA Mail Organizer is a macOS desktop application that helps you organize your email using the PARA (Projects, Areas, Resources, Archive) methodology. Your privacy is important to us.
Data Collection
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable data.
PARA Mail Organizer operates entirely on your local Mac. The app:
- Reads your Mail.app account and folder structure to display categorization suggestions
- Moves messages between local mailboxes when you execute a migration
- Does not collect analytics or usage data
- Does not transmit any email content, metadata, or account information off your device
- Does not use any advertising or tracking frameworks
The app collects anonymous crash reports via Sentry to help us identify and fix bugs. Crash data includes device type, OS version, and stack traces. No personally identifiable information is included. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.
Mail Access
The app requires permission to interact with Apple Mail via AppleScript. This access is used solely to:
- Enumerate your mail accounts and folders
- Sample message subjects and senders for categorization suggestions
- Create local mailboxes and move messages during migration
All processing happens locally on your Mac.
Data Storage
The app does not store any persistent data. Categorization suggestions and migration plans exist only in memory while the app is running and are discarded when you quit.

- Apple (App Store) — the app is distributed via the Mac App Store. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
The app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date.
