1. Agreement to Terms
By installing, accessing, or using Bulk Issue Rewriter ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.
These Terms apply in addition to the Atlassian Cloud Terms of Service and Atlassian Marketplace Terms.
2. Description of Service
Bulk Issue Rewriter is a Jira Cloud application that enables users to:
- Search for Jira issues using JQL
- Generate AI-powered suggestions for editing issue summaries and descriptions
- Apply changes to multiple issues in bulk
The App requires users to provide their own AI provider API keys (OpenAI or Anthropic).
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 API Keys and Costs
You are responsible for:
- Obtaining and maintaining valid API keys from your chosen AI provider
- All costs and charges incurred from AI provider usage
- Keeping your API keys secure and confidential
- Complying with your AI provider's terms of service and usage policies
3.2 Appropriate Use
You agree to:
- Use the App only for its intended purpose of editing Jira issues
- Review AI-generated suggestions before applying changes
- Not use the App to process sensitive, confidential, or regulated data without appropriate safeguards
- Not use the App to generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
3.3 Jira Permissions
You must have appropriate permissions in Jira to edit the issues you select. The App operates with your Jira user permissions.
4. License and Restrictions
4.1 License Grant
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your internal business purposes.
4.2 Restrictions
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App
- Use the App to compete with us or for benchmarking purposes
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
5. Pricing and Payment
The App is offered through the Atlassian Marketplace with the following tiers:
- Free: Limited usage for small teams
- Paid tiers: Higher usage limits and priority support
All payments are processed through Atlassian Marketplace. Pricing may change with notice.
6. AI-Generated Content
6.1 No Guarantee of Quality
AI-generated suggestions are provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that suggestions will be:
- Accurate, complete, or error-free
- Appropriate for your specific use case
- Free from bias or unintended content
6.2 Your Responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated suggestions before applying them. The App provides a preview feature specifically for this purpose.
6.3 Ownership
You retain ownership of your original Jira content. AI-generated suggestions are provided for your use and become part of your Jira data when applied.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- AVAILABILITY OR UPTIME
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We shall not be liable for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bulk Issue Rewriter and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you process through the App
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Jira instance.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Fail to pay applicable fees
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be notified through the App or Atlassian Marketplace.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the App provider is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
