Terms of Service

                Summary: Use the App responsibly. You provide your own Claude API key and are responsible for API costs. AI classifications are suggestions, not guarantees. Review classifications before relying on them.
            

1. Agreement to Terms

By installing, accessing, or using AI Ticket Classifier ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.

These Terms apply in addition to the Atlassian Cloud Terms of Service and Atlassian Marketplace Terms.

2. Description of Service

AI Ticket Classifier is a Jira Cloud application that enables users to:

Automatically classify new Jira tickets using AI (Claude)
Receive suggestions for issue type, priority, and assignee with confidence scores
Train the classifier using historical ticket data and feedback
View classification analytics on an Admin Dashboard

The App requires users to provide their own Anthropic (Claude) API key.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 API Keys and Costs

You are responsible for:

Obtaining and maintaining a valid API key from Anthropic
All costs and charges incurred from Claude API usage
Keeping your API key secure and confidential
Complying with Anthropic's terms of service and usage policies

3.2 Appropriate Use

You agree to:

Use the App only for its intended purpose of classifying Jira tickets
Review AI-generated classifications before taking action based on them
Not use the App to process sensitive, confidential, or regulated data without appropriate safeguards
Not use the App to circumvent security controls or access restrictions
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

3.3 Jira Permissions

You must have appropriate permissions in Jira to modify the issues that the classifier acts upon. The App operates with the permissions configured by your Jira administrator.

4. License and Restrictions

4.1 License Grant

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your internal business purposes.

4.2 Restrictions

You may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App
Use the App to compete with us or for benchmarking purposes
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels

5. Pricing and Payment

The App is offered through the Atlassian Marketplace with the following tiers:

Free: 50 classifications per month at no cost
Standard ($4/user/month): Unlimited classifications with feedback loop
Premium ($8/user/month): Retraining, API access, and priority support

All payments are processed through Atlassian Marketplace. Pricing may change with notice. AI provider costs (Anthropic) are separate and your responsibility.

6. AI-Generated Classifications

6.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy

AI-generated classifications are suggestions provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that classifications will be:

Accurate, complete, or error-free
Appropriate for your specific workflow or use case
Free from bias or misclassification

6.2 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated classifications before relying on them. The App provides confidence scores specifically to help you assess classification reliability.

6.3 Training Data

Classification patterns learned from your tickets are stored in Forge Storage and are isolated to your Jira instance. These patterns are not shared with other customers or used to train models for other purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

MERCHANTABILITY
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
NON-INFRINGEMENT
AVAILABILITY OR UPTIME

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
We shall not be liable for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
We shall not be liable for any damages resulting from incorrect classifications
Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim

These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Ticket Classifier and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Actions taken based on AI classifications

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Jira instance.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Fail to pay applicable fees

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. All data stored in Forge Storage will be deleted upon uninstallation.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be notified through the App or Atlassian Marketplace.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the App provider is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
