eXpense ("we", "us", or "the app") is a daily budget tracking application for iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we handle.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

eXpense does not collect:

• Personal identity information (name, email address, phone number)
• Location data
• Bank account or credit card information
• Contacts, photos, or other device data

All your financial data stays on your device. We have no servers that receive, store, or process your expense data.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process data under the following legal bases as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679):

• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — storing your expenses and budget settings locally to deliver the service you requested.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — subscription management via Apple StoreKit (you initiate this voluntarily).

5. Third-Party Services

• Sentry — crash reporting and error tracking. Sentry collects device type, OS version, and stack traces to help us fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is collected. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat processes subscription data through Apple's payment infrastructure. We never receive or store your payment details directly. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Apple (App Store / StoreKit) — processes subscription payments. Apple handles payment information directly; we never receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

eXpense does not integrate any advertising networks or tracking services.

6. Data Retention

Your expense data is stored locally on your device for as long as you use the app. Deleting the app removes all data permanently. We do not retain any copies.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data — all data is visible directly in the app
• Delete your data — delete individual expenses in the app, or uninstall to remove everything
• Data portability — your data is stored locally and is yours
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Children's Privacy

eXpense does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or collect any personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
