These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the CSCS Card Quiz application ("the app") developed by The Alternative. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

CSCS Card Quiz is an iOS application designed to help users prepare for the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) health, safety, and environment test. The app provides practice questions, mock exams, and study materials based on the CSCS question bank.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store guidelines.

3. Subscription Terms

• Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID account settings (> Subscriptions).
• Payments are charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store terms.
• We do not collect or store any payment information; all billing is managed by Apple.

4. Study Purpose Disclaimer

The questions and content in this app are provided for study and practice purposes only. While we aim to keep content accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that questions reflect the current official CSCS test question bank or that the content is free from errors.

Passing the official CSCS test is your own responsibility. This app is a revision aid only and should be used alongside official CITB study materials. We are not affiliated with CSCS, CITB, or any other official body.

5. Intellectual Property

The app's code, design, user interface, and original materials are owned by The Alternative / Evgeny Goncharov. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the app without prior written consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use automated systems to extract data from the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Redistribute or resell the app's content

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including failure to pass any test or examination.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Consumers resident in the EU benefit from the mandatory provisions of the consumer protection law of their country of residence.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
